On Saturday, April 30th, the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding will celebrate the completion of the new Jeff Hammond Boat Shop. The 4800 square foot shop will house large vessel boat projects. The first is the construction of Sliver, a 62 foot sloop. The event is open to the community and begins at noon with tours of the campus. A dedication ceremony will follow at 1:30pm to honor Jeff Hammond, Master Instructor Emeritus. Jeff has dedicated 25 years to teaching, directing, and developing curriculum at NWSWB.
