The Port of Port Townsend is having a new building constructed this summer. Port Townsend Shipwrights Co-op has been building the staircases, an exterior metal galvanized staircase and a second timbered staircase for the interior.

Six shipwrights from Port Townsend Shipwrights Co-op traveled up to Alaska this month. Five were working on the Randi Lynn in Kodiak; steel plating, hull work and re-bolting skegs. Chris Chase was also in Alaska to look at a future project with another vessel.
